Happy Birthday America! Oh how I love the 4th of July! We had a really fabulous day! We started the day at our ward's 4th of July Breakfast complete with a flag ceremony! Tim's working nights this week and got home at 6:30 am just in time to come along to the breakfast at 7am. The breakfast was fun and the Primary sang "Your A Grand Old Flag." Kate knows almost every word...it's so cute! Tim had to sleep so the kids and I just enjoyed a relaxing day at home, took a bunch of pictures and Kate made lots of American flags out of paper and straws! I even snuck in a 25 minute power nap while Henry and Millie slept :)
Then at 2 o'clock we woke up Daddy headed over to our dear friends, the Wrights, who are our family away from family! We spent the afternoon and evening playing in the pool, BBQing, running around, visiting, and eating homemade ice cream! Tim working nights actually worked out quite nicely today. He got to participate in the festivities and only missed a little bit of the fun when he had to be back at the hospital at 6pm. I decided against dragging the kids alone to catch some fireworks...they just start too late.
I am sure thankful for our freedom and this gorgeous land we live in! God Bless the USA...the Land I love...the Home of the Free and the Brave!
Henry also took his first tip in the pool this afternoon! He TOTALLY loved it! He was splashing his arms and kicking his legs non-stop. It was so fun! What a perfect day for Henry's first swim!
