San Diego Trip with Grandma and Grandpa- Sea World

One of my cousins got married in San Diego a few weeks ago. My parents would be going and I jumped at the chance of meeting up with them in San Diego! Perhaps one of my favorite things about living in Phoenix is that San Diego is only 5 hours away! We made plans to meet up and had been looking forward to this trip for months. We made plans to go to SeaWorld and Kate for the past month would bring her old SeaWorld map of the park into my room each morning and plot out where we would go first and all that we were going to see. She was SO excited! And in fact says she wants to move to San Diego now!

The girls did amazing on the drive and as it miraculously turned out Tim got 2-1/2 days off (which we didn't even plan) so he was able to drive over and enjoy some time off, sun, and family time with us. I'm so glad he was able to come for a little part of it!!

We left Wednesday after preschool and lunch and arrived just after 5pm. My parents were supposed to get there a few hours before us but because of a sniper at the San Diego airport they didn't end up getting in until about 6pm so we were able to swing by and pick them up at the airport. It worked out so well. It was so fun to see the girls so giddy as they spotted Grandma and Grandpa! They were in complete heaven the whole trip to get to be with Grandma and Grandpa 24-7. We will certainly have to meet up in Cali again!

Our first day we headed over to SeaWorld! Here are some of our pics! Kate particularly loved the shows and decided that dolphins are one of her favorite animals. Millie loved it all. She loved seeing "Nemos" all over!

SeaWorld has this whole Sesame Street area. The girls loved meeting Cookie Monster and Elmo!
