Phoenix Fun

So we've been in Phoenix now 2 weeks! We've been soaking up the sun (it's been about 105 degrees every day) and spending a lot of time at the pool!

My mom flew the day after Memorial Day and was here for 5 days to help us unpack, entertain the girls and offer support. We got to explore, do a little shopping, and enjoy some good food both at home and out!

I don't have a lot to say but wanted to document our first few weeks here. Here are a few pics of what we've been up to lately.

Grandma reading stories to Kate
Millie adores the bird that lives in our neighbors cactus! Lots of time is spent watching that bird! You can see out our sliding glass door out to our back patio. We also have a large section of rocks to the left where we will be building a swing set!
We discovered that our favorite Maui restaurant has a franchised location in Scottsdale! Coconut's as the best fish tacos EVER! Not to mention there are multiple Cafe Rios here plus every other restaurant you could ever want!

Enjoying the green space located in our little gated community. Our backyard unfortunately doesn't have grass but this area is just down the street. The girls love running around out there!
Explored out new Children's Museum. And it's awesome! Can't wait to go back again and again and again!

And we even got to go to the Phoenix Temple. For a date...that's right...it only took us 15 minutes to drive to it! This is a huge switch for us. When we'd go to the temple in Iowa we had to drive 1 hr 45 min to get to Nauvoo. So attending the temple was a full day affair. It almost felt strange being able to make a date night out of it!
