Golden Day

So yesterday was my birthday...but not just any old golden birthday! That's right folks, as my brother told me, "...that's upper twenties, Hay!" As the Primary songs goes, "I am one year older" but also "wiser too," right?!

It was a great day! Complete with lots of phone calls from the people I love, great food, skyping with my Mom, beautiful weather for our weekly walk to the library for storytime with our good friends Wendy and Oakley, receiving many thoughtful gifts, and even a nap! Tim did a great job making sure today was extra special...we even got to go out on a date to this restaurant I've been dying to try.

Thank you to all of you who helped make today special! I am one lucky girl to have so many friends and family that care about me! Thanks for calling! I love and miss you!

We picked up Tim from school and got a little lunch

Easter Dress

I have so many memories of looking for the perfect annual Easter dress! I can picture just about every one I ever got. My mom and grandma loved searching for the perfect dress (I have three older brothers so when I came along I wore pretty much only pink and frills). I originally wanted to make Kate her first Easter dress but just ran out of time! Fortunately, my mom still loves picking out dresses, now for her grand-daughters, and found this darling one for Kate. We were so glad to be feeling better this Sunday and finally got to wear it! Thanks Mom!

One Month to Go!

I'm not so sure I am ready for is Kate's 11 month birthday! That means only 1 month until this little gal is a year old! Oh man...where has this year gone?!

Just when we thought Kate was on the mend, she ended up with ear infections in both ears :(  Poor girl! But after just one day of antibiotics she is feeling good and is so much happier. We've been taking it pretty easy and enjoying some lazy days at home...hence the pjs for her photo shoot.

At 11 months Kate weighs 17 lbs. Has 7 teeth. Loves eating pizza, orange Pedialyte, yogurt, strawberries, raspberries, and all her other favorites from the past...She is a great eater. And loves amoxicillin. Kate's current favorite toys include her stacking cups, her new sit-to-stand learning walker, any household empty container (gallon jugs, cardboard boxes), remote controls, and taking the books off of the bookshelf. Kate loves being outside and watching and hearing the birds sing. Likes putting her bottom lip over her top lip on the side and blowing (l'm not so sure how to describe it...the motion that would blow your bangs out of the way), she thinks it is hilarious. Favorite song is "Popcorn Popping." Still not crawling.

Easter 2012

Happy Easter! I so love this time of year...the tulips, the blossoms, everything coming back to life! Our Easter celebration was a little different than we anticipated...Upon returning from Utah Kate got sick! We've had a pretty rough weekend...Tim and I even got in on it with a brutal 24 hour flu bug and we spent Sunday morning taking Kate to see the doctor. But hey I shouldn't complain, this was Kate's first real time sick and Tim's mom was here for a short visit so we had extra help. Despite being sick we got our eggs dyed, still had a great dinner, and had our egg hunt on Monday for our FHE activity.

I am so thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ! I know He lives! Hope you all had a great Easter! Pictures to come of Kate in her Easter dress...

We Heart Utah

Oh how I love going home!  Kate and I had an awesome trip to Utah! I swear no matter how long we visit it is never long enough...although we were ready to be back with Tim! We had a great time full of family, friends, and lots of fun.

We made time for pretty much everything on my Salt Lake To Do list...all except skiing. But we did eat at my favorite restaurants (multiple times), visit with some dear friends, meet the new babies, go shopping, play with cousins, and even see Jimmer at the Jazz game!  By far the most fun though was just seeing Kate interact and play with her grandparents and cousins! She is one lucky gal to have such amazing family!
